Executive training

AI awareness: training executives and leadership teams

A leadership team does not need to know how to write a prompt. It needs the vocabulary, the orders of magnitude and the criteria to make decisions: which process, which budget, which data, which acceptable risk.

Why this training

Deciding on AI without relying on someone else's opinion

AI awareness is not learning a tool. It means acquiring the vocabulary, orders of magnitude and criteria needed to take part in a decision: knowing what a model can and cannot do, telling a realistic use case from a sales pitch, knowing what to ask a provider.

The closest comparison is the balance sheet: a sales director does not need to keep the books, but must be able to read an income statement and ask the CFO the right question. An AI-literate leadership team may not write good prompts. It knows how to decide.

A gap between conviction and strategy

According to Bpifrance Le Lab (June 2025), 58% of French SME and mid-cap leaders consider AI important to their company's future over 3-5 years, but only 43% have defined a strategy.

A rarely uniform committee

A convinced leader, a sceptic, a CIO who has already decided, an HR director concerned about social impact, a discreet user: each stance is legitimate, and the day must make room for them.

An approach to document

Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires deployers to take measures to promote AI literacy among their staff. Training the leadership is a first step.

Audience and prerequisites

For those who decide on AI projects

A strategic, beginner-level course with no technical prerequisite: what matters is holding a decision-making role.

  • Members of executive and management committees
  • SME and mid-cap company leaders, senior managers
  • Business line directors who arbitrate AI projects

  2. 02Anticipate the impact on the organisation, roles and jobs
  3. 03Tell a realistic use case from a sales pitch
  4. 04Map the main families of tools and their conditions of use, data included
  5. 05Leave with the first elements of an AI roadmap

Programme

Five sessions, one day to decide

One 7-hour day, on-site or remote. In-house, the agenda adapts to your sector and to the participants' positions.

  1. Module 1

Strategic and economic stakes of AI

What AI changes in value creation, costs and competition in your sector; what is mere hype.

  2. Module 2

Impact on the organisation and on jobs

Roles affected, skills to develop, the part played by managers and HR: a dedicated slot on the agenda, not a question left hanging.

  3. Module 3

Overview of AI tools and technologies

Off-the-shelf assistants and business plans, AI built into business software, open-weight models hosted in France: what each allows, at what cost, with which data.

  4. Module 4

    Discovering generative AI

Live demonstration, on company documents where possible: what a model can do and what it cannot.

  5. Module 5

    Starting an AI roadmap

First candidate use cases, selection criteria, cost orders of magnitude, next steps and owners.

Funding

Getting the training funded

JustAI's Qualiopi certification gives access to funding from your French skills operator (OPCO). We provide the quote, the detailed programme and the training agreement: the documents your OPCO expects.

OPCO

Your skills operator (Atlas, Opco 2i, Akto, Afdas…) can cover all or part of the training, in-house or in an open session, under the skills development plan. Each OPCO applies its own rules and ceilings.

Payment: what changes on 1 October 2026

At several OPCOs, including Atlas, AKTO and Opco EP, direct payment of the training provider becomes the exception: the company pays the invoice, then claims reimbursement. Check your OPCO's rule before committing to the training.

CPF

This training is not certified, so it is not eligible for the CPF (France's personal training account). The CPF can fund certified training, such as our 4-day programme preparing for the RS No. 6891 certification on producing and reviewing professional content with generative AI, intended for content-production roles and subject to the applicable cap.

We help you put the funding application together: it is part of the service.

FAQ

Your questions about this training

What is AI awareness training?

It means acquiring the vocabulary, orders of magnitude and judgement criteria needed to take part in an AI decision without relying on someone else's opinion. It is not tool training: that comes next, for operational teams.

Is there a format shorter than a day?

Yes. In-house, we run sessions from 2 hours to a full day, on-site or remote. Two hours are enough for a shared vocabulary; a full day allows use cases to be prioritised and a first project to be scoped. Short formats are quoted on request.

How should the session be prepared?

We recommend a short interview with each participant beforehand, to learn what they have already tried and what worries them, and an explicit invitation from the chief executive stating what will and will not be decided. A seminar fails more often from lack of preparation than from lack of content.

Does the AI Act require training the leadership team?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act, rewritten by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, requires providers and deployers to take measures to promote AI literacy among their staff, without imposing a programme, a duration or a certificate. Training the leadership is a first measure the company can document.

What happens after the training?

It depends on what the day brought out: a strategic scoping exercise to turn use cases into a budgeted roadmap, a first custom software put into production in 4 weeks to decide on evidence, or a training plan extended to business teams.
